CoolTerm Error 31

Hello,

I've been searching around to try and find a list of what each error in the program means and haven't been able to find out what exception is being raised with Error 31.

I'm using a Windows 7 PC to communicate with an Arduino at a baud rate of 115200 bps, 8 bits per message, no parity, and 1 stop bit. While using the Arduino IDE's Serial Monitor I noticed that after an intermittent amount of time, I would stop seeing received bytes on the terminal screen, but the transmit LED was still blinking on my Arduino and the rest of the device's program was still functioning. I switched to CoolTerm and after a few minutes noticed the same thing, but when I clicked back on the window, a popup window opened raising Error 31. Does anyone know what causes this error?

Thanks!

Error 31 in Windows might indicate an issue with the device driver. I would recommend re-installing the driver for your Arduino.
