Hello,

I receive the following error when attempting to open CoolTerm.

"CooTerm" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

I just downloaded the version dated 5.31.21.

Hi Tom,

The first time you launch CoolTerm, you need to context-click (aka right mouse button) the App icon (instead of double-click) and select ‘open’. macOS might tell you again that it can’t verify the app. Click cancel and respeat the same thing. The 2nd it will allow you to open it. From then you won’t have to do this anymore until you download a new version.
