Thanks for testing the older versions. I assume have used some of these older versions prior to 2.30, and they worked fine without this issue, and this just started happening at some point? That would lead me to suspect that something on your system may have changed.
I'm currently testing this with a win11 system with 2 monitors with different resolutions and different DPIs, and I can move the CoolTerm back and forth hundreds of times without any issues. When moving the window about halfway to the other monitor, I can see it rescaling for the other monitor and redrawing. And moving it across that edge back and forth redraws the window just fine. So, I don't seem to have a way to replicate on my end what you're seeing on yours.

Re: GUI Breaks on Win11
I've experienced this for a while now and to me it seems like something changed when you went to 2.x
The issue I'm seeing now happens when the PC goes to sleep and I have CoolTerm open. When I wake the computer I see this behavior only with CoolTerm.

Re: GUI Breaks on Win11
Going to sleep mode in between tries doesn't make a difference. Everything still works.
When it gets stuck in this mode where you don't see the window contents anymore, can you try changing the view more (e.g. from plain text to hex view and then back to plain text) so see if that brings the contents back?

here's a video of me trying to do that. I think this was with version 2.11

Hmm, yeah, that's bizarre.
I revamped the toolbar in 2.0.0. Other than that, the GUI elements haven't really changed from 1.9.x. Can you try turning the toolbar off via the options (uncheck the "Show Toolbar" checkbox) when the window is blank?

here's the video with my enabling and disabling viewing the toolbar and that works but it doesn't bring back the main window or footer

Re: GUI Breaks on Win11
Thanks for giving it a try. So the toolbar probably isn't the culprit. Not sure what else to try.

Re: GUI Breaks on Win11
All I can say is that I only see this behavior with CoolTerm, I have not noticed it with any other program. It's odd that the toolbar doesn't get impacted but the main window and footer effectively disappear. As you saw in the videos everything else functions fine in the program except you can't see anything in the main window or footer.

Just to make sure I'm replicating everything a closely as possible on my end, can you send me your connection settings?
