Thanks.
Could you save your current settings and then send me the file to
support@the-meiers.org ? That way I have your exact settings as my defaults might differ from yours.
Also, whenever this issue occurs, can you check in Task Manager to see if there is an unusual spike CPU or memory consumption caused by CoolTerm?

I should mention that the latest version doesn't always do this but during my testing of the other 2.x versions it seemed like they would have this behavior whenever i put my PC to sleep. I wouldn't bet my life on that but thought I'd mention it.
I also noticed this slightly odd behavior in the window after waking from sleep. It's like it's trying to fill the window and scroll the window as more data come in. Once it eventually fills the screen it acts normally and new data comes in at the bottom of the screen and the old data scrolls off at the top.

Ok, I have been able to make it happen once (and only once so far) by putting the PC into hibernation mode while and active communication was ongoing. When it came out of hybernation the window looked like in your screenshot. I could tell it was still receiving data, and I was able to open other windows, etc, but the blanked out window stayed blanked out. However, I was able to bring the contents back by resizing the window (by grabbing one of the corners to slightly resize the window). Can you try to see if you get your blanked out window to snap out of it by resizing it?

I should also, mention that the one I did observe this is after I put my laptop into hibernation mode and then disconnected it from my USB-C hub which has 2 external monitors attached. The CoolTerm window was on one of the external monitors. And when I brought the laptop out of hibernation it was NOT connected to the hub. The CoolTerm window appeared on the laptop screen with all its controls (except the toolbar) missing. Resizing the window properly redrew all the control in my case.

Looks like the mail quota was set too low. It should work again now.

FYI, I had this happen again to me when running 2.4.0 (build 1425) 64-bit, x86. I know you've got a new beta released so I'll have to try that but I just thought I'd mention this

Hi George,
yes, there is a brand new development build (2.5.0a3) that has a lot of improvements and new features. Please give that one a try.
