Com Port wont connect

Hi Roger, thanks for this great program. Its use will be primarily connecting to LMR radio serial ports for testing.
One problem I have is using the USB port, No port number shows and when it does, it doesn't connect.
I use a USB to TTL cable, tested and working. Winows 10 loads the drivers and shows in the settings.
I use an app called "USB View" that shows all the USB ports, and any connected device info.
Usually this is port 1 but can be 6 or 10.
None of those connect using CoolTerm. The user guide seems a little vague in setting up USB ports.
Probably something I am doing wrong or not doing. Any help would be hot. Thanks

When you plug in your USB to TTL cable, does it show up as an actual COM port in the Windows Device Manager? If so, then CoolTerm should see it as the same COM port. CoolTerm can only connect to devices that present themselves as real or virtual COM ports to the Windows operating system.
