v2.0.0 is a major update to the DataPlot Classes for Xojo, modernized for API 2.0 with improved rendering and a range of fixes.
- API 2.0: Figure is now based on DesktopCanvas. Requires Xojo 2021r3 or later.
- Better line rendering: Dotted, dashed and dash-dot lines are now drawn continuously along the trace, regardless of how closely spaced the data points are. Lines have round caps and joins, so thick lines look clean.
- Gaps in data: NaN and Inf values, and values <= 0 on logarithmic axes, now break the trace instead of producing stray lines.
- Logarithmic axes: Lines that leave the plot area on log axes are now clipped correctly, and Y-axis tick generation was fixed.
- HiDPI improvements: Markers, stems, tick marks, titles and mouse hit-testing are now scaled and positioned correctly on high-resolution displays.
- New colors: The style string now accepts “purple”, “orange”, “brown” and “black”/”k”. An explicitly specified black is no longer replaced with an automatic color.
- Bug fixes: Hidden traces no longer respond to mouse events. TextLabel’s TextColor and TextFont properties now take effect. Plus several other fixes.
